| Unitarianism Unitarianism in Britain goes back to the 17th century and in Europe to the 16th century. Unitarians can be found also in many other parts of the world including the USA, Canada, South Africa and Australia. Dunham Road chapel is affiliated to the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches, the Object of which is to provide a free and inquiring religion through the worship of God and the celebration of life; the service of humanity and respect for all creation; and the upholding of the liberal Christian tradition. We can be called "Religious Liberals" We are called 'Unitarians' because of our traditional insistence on divine unity, the oneness of God. We affirm the essential unity of humankind and of creation.
